Terms of Use
A human-controlled brake for selected app access. Not a universal AI shutdown.
1. Purpose of AI BRAKE
AI BRAKE is a user-controlled utility designed to let you pause access to selected apps on your device and restore access through an explicit user action.
AI BRAKE is intended to provide a human-controlled brake.
It is not intended to operate autonomously on your behalf or to replace your own judgment.
2. What AI BRAKE Does Not Guarantee
AI BRAKE does not guarantee that:
- every AI system, model, agent, service, website, network connection, process, or external device will be stopped;
- an AI provider’s servers or internal systems will stop operating;
- every possible AI action will be prevented;
- access restrictions can never be bypassed, removed, changed, or affected by the operating system or device settings;
- the service will operate without interruption or error.
AI BRAKE operates only within the capabilities and permissions available on the supported device and operating system.
3. User Control
You are responsible for selecting which supported apps are placed under BRAKE.
You are also responsible for deciding when to activate BRAKE and when to restore access.
AI BRAKE does not make those decisions for you.
4. Emergency and Safety Use
AI BRAKE should not be relied upon as the sole safety mechanism for situations involving:
- threats to life or physical safety;
- medical emergencies;
- critical infrastructure;
- financial or trading systems;
- industrial control systems;
- transportation systems;
- military, law-enforcement, or emergency-response systems;
- any environment where failure to stop software could cause serious injury, death, or substantial property damage.
Use appropriate professional and technical safeguards for such environments.
5. Third-Party Apps and Services
AI BRAKE may restrict access to third-party apps selected by you.
NextBase does not own, operate, control, or endorse those third-party apps or their underlying AI systems.
AI BRAKE does not modify the internal operation of those services.
Third-party apps remain subject to their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and technical behavior.
6. Operating System Dependency
Certain AI BRAKE functions depend on capabilities provided by Apple and iOS.
Changes to iOS, system permissions, device configuration, Apple policies, or related platform functionality may affect AI BRAKE.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use AI BRAKE to violate applicable law, interfere unlawfully with another person's device or services, or circumvent rights you do not possess.
8. Availability
Features may change, be improved, removed, limited, or become unavailable due to platform changes, legal requirements, security concerns, or technical limitations.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AI BRAKE is provided “as is” and “as available.”
NextBase does not make warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NextBase is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use AI BRAKE.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms when AI BRAKE, applicable laws, or platform requirements change.
12. Governing Terms
Where AI BRAKE is distributed through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable App Store terms and end-user license terms also apply.
