GLOBAL LANGUAGE BREAKER (“GLB”) — NEXT BASE project. Last updated: 2026-04-14.

1. Scope

This Policy explains how information is handled when you use GLB. If you use GLB through a third-party storefront or browser, that platform’s privacy rules may also apply.

2. Information we process

Text you submit for lookup or translation is sent to our backend and/or translation providers to return results. Do not submit highly sensitive information unless you accept that risk.
Technical data such as IP address, device/browser type, and timestamps may be processed by hosting providers and APIs for security, rate limiting, and operations.
Local storage in your browser (for example preferences, daily usage counters, or subscription flags) stays on your device unless you clear site data.

3. Payments

Payments may be processed by a third party (for example Stripe). We receive limited transaction metadata needed to confirm purchase status—not your full card number.

3A. Billing status data minimization

We keep billing status indicators (for example whether paid mode is active) only to keep browser state consistent with SmileFriend billing API entitlement checks. We do not use this data for behavioral profiling, ad targeting, or unrelated tracking.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use strictly necessary functionality required for the app to work. Analytics or marketing cookies, if any, will be described in product settings where applicable.

5. Retention

Server logs and operational records are kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, and legal compliance, then deleted or aggregated according to our infrastructure practices.

6. International transfers

Translation and hosting services may process data in countries other than your own. We rely on providers with appropriate safeguards where required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Your choices

You may clear browser storage, stop using GLB, or manage subscription status through the payment provider’s customer portal when available. Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object—contact us via Support and we will respond within a reasonable time.

8A. AI assistance boundaries

GLB AI assistance is designed for language support and does not intentionally perform intrusive personal-data inference. Product design aims to avoid unnecessary collection and to prevent overreaching suggestions that would exceed user intent.

9. Children

GLB is not directed at children under 13 (or the age required by your jurisdiction). Do not use GLB if you are below the minimum age.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Material changes may be highlighted in-app when feasible.
